Dalic: Croatia Deserve to Be in World Cup Final
Croatia manager, Zlatko Dalic, may be proud of his squad’s success in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but he wants more.
Should Croatia win their semi-final match against Argentina (which takes place today, Tuesday 13 December, at Lusail Stadium in Qatar), they will face either Morocco or France in the finals this Sunday, 18 December.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of the big game, Dalic touted his men’s achievements and more.
“At back-to-back World Cups, to be among the four best national teams, that’s an extraordinary success for Croatia,” he said. “However, we want more. I’m optimistic and have full confidence in my players. They’ve shown their great quality and strength of character, and deserve to be in the final.”
“We are still strong, with energy and enthusiasm, without a doubt. We are going to give it our all, just as we have done in previous games. Against Argentina, we will do the same; we will give our all.”
